About us
Icarus is the CanSat team from Collège Saint-Pierre Uccle participating in CanSat Belgium 2024. Here is the team working on the project.
Who are we?
We are Icarus, the team representing the Collège Saint-Pierre from Uccle in the CanSat contest. The Icarus's team is composed of 6 core members, assisted by a handful of other students. Every person in the team has a very important role and closely collaborates with everybody else.
Why "Icarus"?
In Greek mythology, the hero Icarus is trapped in a labyrinth with his father Daedalus, Thanks to their inventiveness, they managed to escape by air. However, after this success, Icarus fell too close to the sun and died. Our Canette, like the god Icarus, will eventually fall despite all the previous research.Contact us

Eva Nina Dimova
My name is Eva Nina and I’m 16 years old. ss It’s the first time I’m participating to the Cansat project. With the other members of my team, we are in charge of the GPS.
Emilie Henneaux
I’m Emilie and I’m 16. It is my second year contributing to the Cansat project. I’m working on the measure of air ionisation with other teammates along with the project’s management.
Chingel Adiya
Hello, my name is Chingel. This is my first year in the Cansat project and I'm a member of the atmospheric ionisation project with Joan and Emilie.
Basma Abdelouahabi
My name is Basma and I’m 15. It’s my first year in the Cansat project and I’m in the team who’s in charge of the GPS.
Hugo Bolland
My name is Hugo, I am 16 years old and I am passionate about computers. The Cansat project therefore interested me very much, I am participating in it for the first time. I take care of the radio with Ingrid.
Muyang Zhou
My name is Muyang, I am 16 years old. This is my first year on the Cansat project. I work with Antoine on the design and the manufacturing of the parafoil.
Ingrid Ribes
Hi, my name is Ingrid and I am 16 years. It's my second time participating in this project but this year I am mostly here to help (or at least I try :)). I am also in charge of testing the radios and of keeping part of the social media updated.
Mohamed Abdellah
My name is Mohamed, I am 15 years old. This is my first year participating in the Cansat project. I work with Thomas on guided landing.
Lena Deramaix
Hello, my name is Lena, I’m fifteen years old and I am one of the people who manages the electrical circuits. It is my first year in the Cansat project and I really like this experience!
Joan Vanwelkenhuyzen
My name is Joan and I'm 15.
This is my first year on the Cansat project.
I'm part of the atmospheric ionisation group.
I'm also in charge of this website.
